Meeting Jayme and Josh:

It all began when we met Jayme and Josh at the Metropolitan Weddings Expo in Springfield, Missouri. They had recently gotten engaged and were brimming with excitement. After a brief conversation, they knew they wanted us to capture their special day on film. We were immediately captivated by their love story and the journey that brought them together. To get to know them better, we arranged a FaceTime consultation, where we discussed their story, preferences, and the unique elements they wanted to incorporate into their wedding film.

The Story Session:

One of the unique aspects of working with Salcedo Films is our dedication to capturing the essence of your love story. As part of our package for 2023 and beyond, we offer a separate video shoot called the "story session" at a location chosen by the couple. For Jayme and Josh, expressing their nerdy side was essential, and they decided to film at an arcade. We scouted a local bar in downtown Springfield that housed a room full of pinball machines, and it instantly became the perfect backdrop for their story.

During the session, Jayme and Josh were in their element, playing a few games. Then we shot some portraits of them backlit against some cool lights that were hung on the walls. We ventured beyond the arcade, took a leisurely stroll to capture intimate portraits of the couple against the city square. Additionally, we conducted a short interview to allow Jayme and Josh to reminisce about their journey, sharing heartfelt anecdotes and cherished memories. This story session not only added depth to their wedding film but also strengthened our connection with them.

The Result:

The culmination of these experiences and interactions resulted in a truly unique wedding film that Jayme and Josh will treasure forever. Being avid Harry Potter fans ourselves, we decided to infuse their teaser film with elements from the enchanting world of Hogwarts. However, for the main highlight film, our focus was on their captivating love story, ensuring it took center stage. We wanted their film to be a personal, emotional journey that transcended the boundaries of typical wedding films.
